Kitesurf Lessons in Koh Samui Thailand:
Discovery Course
This 3-hour introductory course starts with a brief theory of the wind directions, functioning of the kite (structure, aerodynamics) and of the other necessary elements for practicing the sport (weather, spot, gear). After the set-up of the kite, the instructor shows the various safety systems of the control bar.
Next comes the first piloting of the kite in the edge of the wind window. Special trainer kites are used, generating less power for better safety, and more reactivity for a faster learning process. You will then start feeling the first pulls on your harness by sending the kite in the power zone.
This initial experience with Kiteboarding will allow you to decide wether to continue and sign up with a full beginner course, which will take you to the first board attempts. It is possible to integrate this lesson to the hours of the full course.

About Kitesurfing lessons in Koh Samui, Thailand.
According to IKO standards, children can start taking Kiteboarding lessons from 12 years of age.
There are no particular prerequisites. Participating students need to be in good physical and mental shape at the moment of taking the lessons.
Participants only need to bring a bathing suit and sun protection (for their own care).
Lessons can last from 1 to 3 hours (depending on the wind conditions as well), generally a bit longer for semi-private compared to private courses.
All group courses are semi-private, with a maximum of 2 participants. It is better if the participants know each other. But if the school has 2 students who don’t know each other requesting semi-private lessons, they can be matched (if conditions allow).
